Tidung Island to Host Indie Music Festival on June 22

Various music performances are set to enliven a Thousand Islands Indie Festival at Love Bridge, Tidung Island, South Thousand Islands, which aim to celebrate the forthcoming city's 492nd anniversary.

It will be kicked off on June 22, 2019.

"Thanks God, preparation from promo to tour package runs smoothly and is just waiting for the execution," said Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-agency Head, Cucu Ahmad Kurnia, Tuesday (6/11).

His party is about to feature indie music groups in the country such as; Pusakata, Sisitipsi, Alviandra Project, Rio Febrian and Danilla, which are ready to entertain tourists in the morning until evening.

"Our target to bring 1,000 tourists," he hoped.

To realize it, he will continue to display local wisdom by involving locals and the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) to hold a Tidung Island specialty food bazaar such as; breadfruit chips, candied seaweed.

"We also have fish chips and various handicraft products," he stated.
